I have come to understand that the ultimate human dichotomy is not Christians versus non-Christians but those who are “of God” and those who aren’t (cf. 1Jn3:10,12), identified by the presence or absence of “agape” (compassionate love – cf. Mt25:31-46). For sure, the former sub-division is the focus of the New Testament but that is the nature of the Bible. Its primary focus is the messianic Savior of humanity, His act of love at Calvary and the establishment of the people appointed to Him; God’s purposes for broader creation (providence) is a mystery sustained until the last days. For those open to it ex-canonical Enoch may provide elucidation (ch93), as hopefully does my book, the latter adducing such munificent providence from Scripture as a whole.
